JP Jewelers provides an appraisal service to our customers. The appraisals are done by appointment only in the comfort of our store while you wait. To ensure a time most convenient for you please call to schedule a time. If you are unable to wait while the appraisal is performed you can drop off the piece to be appraised and picked up later.
Prior to your item being appraised our staff will inspect the piece for any potential problems, i.e.. loose stones, worn prongs, etc. Your item will then be professionally cleaned and polished in preparation for the appraisal.
The appraisal itself is state of the art and computerized. A digital photo of your item will be displayed on the hard copy of your appraisal. A consultation of your appraisal is provided and if there are any questions or concerns they can be addressed at that time. Two copies of the appraisal are provided for you and your insurance company. Insurance companies often recommend periodic updates to the appraisals of your fine jewelry, so that you will have sufficient coverage in case of a loss or theft.
